Chitralekha Khatu-Ravane Takes Charge as Financial Advisor and CFO of Maharashtra Cultural Development Board

Chitralekha Khatu-Ravane has been appointed as the Financial Advisor and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Maharashtra Film, Theatre, and Cultural Development Corporation by the state government. She officially assumed office this week. Prior to this role, she served as the Deputy Grant and Accounts Officer at the Grant and Accounts Office in Mumbai.

In 2011, Mrs. Chitralekha was selected as Assistant Director in the Maharashtra Finance and Accounts Services through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exam. During her tenure, she handled various tasks including payments, fund management, and accounting. Between 2016 and 2019, she held the position of Financial Advisor and Deputy Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies, managing the budget as Assistant Director. From 2019 to 2023, she served as the State Treasury Officer, overseeing government deposit accounting systems. Additionally, she played a key role as the Election Expenditure Coordinator for Mumbai during the general elections.

Mrs. Chitralekha is recognized for her strong financial acumen and administrative expertise. Notably, she is also a talented writer, presenter, and singer, with active participation in government cultural programs. In her new role, she aims to bring financial discipline and streamline accounting processes within the corporation.
